android dynamically add element from layout xml

How can I take the element myButton from this layout xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    android:orientation="vertical"
    android:layout_width="fill_parent"
    android:layout_height="fill_parent"

and put it on the layout of my choice (via code) ?

Button button = (Button) view.findViewById(R.id.myButton);

aGroupView.addView(button);

Need to ask R.id.mainLayout Linear Layout is in other xml file or the same ?
