How practical is using xml format storage of BlogEngine\'s posts, without adversely affecting its performance ?

My scenario is this: The client wants one blog with several categories configured to represent different departments.
I just imported my blog from Wordpress to BlogEngine.NET. Pretty much everything came over correctly. The only missing piece now is figuring out how to change the URLS for all the posts.
