Installing Mercurial on Redhat Linux

Will Mercurial work on 开发者_如何学CRedhat Linux? I tried, yum install mercurial, with no success. I tried downloading a tar ball from Mercurial site but it failed when I tried to install. Does Mercurial work at all on Redhat?

On Rhel 7.2 i performed below command and it worked like charm :)

sudo rpm -ivh https://www.mercurial-scm.org/release/centos7/RPMS/x86_64/mercurial-3.4-0.x86_64.rpm

Mercurial project provides RPM packages starting from version 3.4.
