trueNAS Core can't connect to the internet but can be accessed on LAN

TrueNAS Core setup can be accessed and used normally by at least my windows pc on my local network. but when i try access plug-in's, jail's or verify my backblaze credentials i get network errors.

this is the error i get when trying to verify my Backblaze credentials(i have verified that the API keys are correct):

Error: 2022/12/06 18:39:28 Failed to create file system for "remote:": failed to authorize account: failed to authenticate: Get "https://api.backblazeb2.com/b2api/v1/b2_authorize_account": dial tcp: lookup api.backblazeb2.com on 8.8.8.8:53: dial udp 8.8.8.8:53: connect: network is unreachable

I'm extremely new to TrueNas so go easy on me if the solution is simple
