Ambiguous Page Load behavior while selecting filter after scrolling to the middle of the page

I am working on an issue related to ambig开发者_开发知识库uous page load behavior where I apply filter to a table component in the middle of the page after scrolling down a bit, and in a special case where close to 1-3 rows are selected as part of the filter, instead of loading the same component, my entire page gets scrolled to the top.

Has anyone else faced this? Is this an expected behavior?

PS = we are using the less framework and some custom UI packages as well for the styling of our page.
