Jquery explode works, but in some unusal way. Any thoughts?

You're downloading jQuery ui before jQuery itself. Change

<script src="js/jquery-ui-1.8.16.custom.min.js"></script>
<script src="js/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>

to

<script src="js/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>
<script src="js/jquery-ui-1.8.16.custom.min.js"></script>
