file_get_contents return & g t ; instead of <

I Have this

 $this->CompileString_ = file_get_contents("test.html");
 echo $this->CompileString_;

test.html

<div>test</div>
<div>test</div>

The problem is that file_get_contents return > instead of get开发者_StackOverflowting <

Why ?.

I'm using wampserver 2 with php 5.3.8

Hello try renaming the file to test.txt maybe php automatically encodes that for .html files.

Use htmlentitydecode();

    $a = htmlentities($orig);

    $b = html_entity_decode($a);

    echo $a; // I'll &quot;walk&quot; the &lt;b&gt;dog&lt;/b&gt; now
