Arrayadapter problem with edittext

In my application there is a listview with an arrayadapter. The first item in the listview is a edittext for search in the listview. I don't want to put the search out of the listview. When I search something in the l开发者_Go百科istview and delete the items from the adapter for the search results, the edittext was cleaned. Example: When I search "test" in the editbox I can write "t" and the letter was directly lost. I know that that is the problem of automatic refreshing of the arrayadapter. But how can I fix it?
