Generic job execution mechanism for scheduler in .net

I have developed one job scheduler which schedules dynamic events and currently starting the service at given time defined in the scheduler.

now i want replace that code with some generic code which can perform m开发者_如何转开发any task rather then just starting service.

Probable task would be to call store procedure, calling .net dll or small exe and existing function like starting a service.

Edit: One option i come across is Manage extensibility for framework 3.5 but i dont know how to implement that in my project.
