Having a lot of trouble posting my "Notes" field into the database while using the submodal feature
I am having a lot of trouble saving the Notes section from my submodal feature. Everything else saves but the notes will not. What am I doing wrong?

Why don't you use PDO OR MYSQLI instead of mysql? If you will use PDO you won't need to "clear" variables by your self :
switch ($theType) {
case "text":
$theValue = ($theValue != "") ? "'" . $theValue . "'" : "NULL";
break;
....
}
You can use PDO Prepared statements : pdostatement
Can you please insert var_dump
here
var_dump($_POST);
$updateSQL = sprintf ("UPDATE Leads SET Notes = CONCAT_WS('\n', Notes, '\n', %s) WHERE Id=%d",
GetSQLValueString($_POST['Notes'], "text"),
GetSQLValueString($_POST['Id'], "int"));
var_dump( $updateSQL,$_POST['Notes']);
and let us know, what will be the output ?
