c3p0 for 64bit tomcat

We have c3p0 connection pooling for Sybase. It works fine on Tomcat 7.0 on a 32-bit server. Once we run it on a 64-bit server with tomcat and jre both installed under 64-bit , it throws:

We've set up a 64-bit System DSN. The dataSource is created successfully with the DSN specified. The error was thrown when it calls getConnection() on the dataSource.

Any suggestions?
