How can you change Microsoft Access' default mapping of SQL Server NVarchar?

It seems that Microsoft Access by default maps a SQL Server NVarchar 3000 to a 255 character field, causing queries to cut off the data at 255 characters.

Is开发者_开发知识库 there a way to work around that problem and change the mapping to a larger amount of characters?

Note: In this case it is SQL Server 2005 and MS Access 2003. If someone knows if a later version of Access solves the problem that is also very helpful.
