Asp.net With the Routing in 3.5

Hi I am trying to use Asp.net Routing in Webforms. (To be noted i am using .net 3.5) .I have figured out a way for using Route from few articles.But the Intial request still go to the Default.aspx.But instead of it i want the request to go to Routehandler where i can redirect to the correct page dynamically

<httpHandlers>
        <remove verb="*" path="*.asmx"/>
        <add verb="*" path="*.asmx" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
        <add verb="*" path="*_AppService.axd" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
        <add verb="GET,HEAD" path="ScriptResource.axd" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptResourceHandler, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" validate="false"/>
    </httpHandlers>
    <httpModules>
        <add name="ScriptModule" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptModule, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
        <add name="RoutingModule" type="System.Web.Routing.UrlRoutingModule, System.Web.Routing, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/>
    </httpModules>

    <system.webServer>
    <validation validateIntegratedModeConfiguration="false"/>
    <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"></modules>
    <modules>
        <remove name="ScriptModule"/>

</system.webServer>

Please find the config section for reference

Sounds like you haven't added the handler to the section of your web.config.

Could you post up some code or links to articles that you grabbed the code from?

I've implemented routing with web forms pretty recently and had some similar problems (which were pretty much all config related)

Finally i am able to figure out .If u want to make the route to come on the normal reference you should make your route to string.empty

 Route route=new Route(string.Empty,new RouteHandler());
        routeCollection.Add("default",route);
