how to show text above list ,i use ListActivity to show a custom list

dear how to show text above customise list when i extends listactivity in my class file..the code is given below..

You can set the header to by a textview. It will still be in the same format as a list view but the top item in the list view will be your text view


Your code is looking for R.id.text1

TextView tv = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.text1);

But your xml does not have any such id.

So you will get a null for tv.
