What does it mean by declaring public class A: B

This maybe a stupid question, but what does it mean by declaring this:

public class A: B{


}

I understand inheritance, I am just getting use to the C#开发者_StackOverflow中文版 syntax


It indicates that the class either inherits from class B, or implements interface B.

  • You're inheriting from a class
  • You're implementing an interface

It means that class A inherits from class B. There are lots of material on the web about inheritance.


This can mean two things:

  • You're inheriting from a class
  • You're implementing an interface
