datatable problem

I am assigning a function which returns a table to a DataTab开发者_如何学Gole

dtUserName = oFTE.GetUserNames();

It works fine on the submit button but on load it's giving a null reference exception.

DataTable dtUserName = new DataTable();  // i have defined this at start.
