I want to place a photo gallery on my wordpress blog. I use NextGEN Gallery but I don't like the lightbox (The rest is awesome). Can I change only the lightbox? Do you know any better plugin?

You can use TickBox that is selectable under the Gallery Options of NextGen or installing one of this plugins for nextgen:

1. SmoothGallery NextGen Plugin
2. NextGen Gallery Effects
3. JJ Slider

Just one more gallery plugin Gallereo. It allows you to create a Google+ like layout with fancy preview.

Check some screenshots:

After gallery is loaded the plugin creates Google+ like images layout.

After clicking on an image the preview popup will appear.
